Rugby League

Helensburgh Tigers

The Tigers are one of the five original clubs that competed in the inaugural Illawarra Rugby League. In the early years they were in and out of the top grade. Eventually they found stability and would break through for their maiden title in 1986.  Another two titles in 1988 and 1993 followed. They came close in 2011, 2013 and 2014 but finally broke through for a fourth premiership in 2015, defeating Wests 16-10.

Helensburgh is another area rich full of talented juniors including Neil Piccinelli and Damien Cook.
